2016 Yamaha FJR1300 Reviews

by Jason Fogelson

Though I own a Harley-Davidson Sportster, my favorite category of motorcycle is actually sport touring. I love bikes that can do it all — long distance travel, local commuting and weekend fun — with few compromises.

The 2016 Yamaha FJR1300 can do it all. I got to ride the latest versions on a launch event in Arizona recently, and I wrote about for Forbes.com and a magazine called “Arizona Driver,” published by my buddy Joe Sage.

You can read my 2016 Yamaha FJR1300 Test Ride and Review on Forbes.com, and you can see my review and Arizona travel story in the May/June 2016 issue of Arizona Driver on pages 46 – 50.

RideApart

by Jason Fogelson

I contribute occasional articles and reviews to RideApart.com, a leading powersports website started by my friend Jon Guzik. I’m on the masthead as “Editor At Large,” and I write for the site whenever I have a free moment and an appropriate motorcycle or topic.

It’s a great site, chock full of reviews, riding advice, gear roundups and motorcycle news.

You can read my articles on the site at http://rideapart.com/authors/jfogelson.

You Must Be Trippin’

by Jason Fogelson

For the past seven years, I’ve been writing a weekly column about motorcycles for Best Western Hotels’ travel website, YouMustBeTrippin.com. I write about motorcycle travel, safety, maintenance, lifestyle and gear. Of all of my freelance gigs, this is my favorite. I love the people at Best Western, and I really believe in the company. When I travel on my own dime, I always seek out Best Western locations, because I know that I’ll get a nice clean room at a fair price. With recent upgrades, there are some luxurious BW properties out there — but I stick with the basic options. I don’t spend much time in my hotel room during a trip. It’s just a place to sleep and use the bathroom before I’m off on my next ride. I want to be safe, secure and sanitary, and I don’t need a $400 hotel room for that.

You can read any or all of my blog entries for Best Western at YouMustBeTrippin.com. Beware — there are over 425 of them, with a new article every week.

2016 Indian Springfield Test Ride and Review

by Jason Fogelson

Indian Motorcycle is on a roll, and I am lucky to get to ride a variety of their new bikes. My favorite one so far is the new 2016 Indian Springfield. It’s a bagger with a removable windshield and lockable hard saddle bags — a direct competitor for the Harley-Davidson Road King.
